See the highlights of Luxor and its surrounding region with a local guide on this 2-day tour. You’ll spend your first day checking out the West Bank of Luxor, with stops at the Valley of the Kings, the Temple of Hatsheput, and the Colossi of Memnon. On your second day, you’ll stick to the East Bank, where you’ll visit both Karnak and Luxor Temples with your guide.
The guide will take you to the West Bank of Luxor, located about 35 kilometers from downtown (around a 45-minute drive). You will start your tour at the Valley of the Kings, where you’ll have the chance to explore three fascinating tombs. Extra time can also be arranged if you wish to visit additional tombs. After spending around an hour and a half there, the tour continues with a short 10-minute drive to the Temple of Hatshepsut, where you will spend about one hour exploring this magnificent monument.
On the way back, you will stop at the Colossi of Memnon for a quick 10-minute photo opportunity. After that, you will enjoy a delicious lunch at a local restaurant before continuing your tour.
The second day of your journey takes you to the East Bank of Luxor, home to two of Egypt’s most famous temples. Begin at the Temple of Karnak, just a 15-minute drive from downtown, where you will spend about 2 hours exploring its vast halls and sacred precincts.
Then, continue to the magnificent Luxor Temple, conveniently located in the heart of downtown, where you will spend around 1 hour discovering its history and grandeur.

The tours were excellent, and the guide and driver were very pleasant.
Carlos was patient and explained Egyptian history to us at various sites.
He was able to guide us to the best places to buy souvenirs.
He even helped us with how and when to tip.
